IS THIS FOR YOU?

  • You care about local, national, And your or Your Family country of origin.

Your heart gives in three directions. We'll show you a framework to honor all three — strategically and sustainably.

  • You earn well but feel guilty or uncertain about "formal” philanthropy.

Philanthropy was never marketed to people like us. This webinar fixes that — in our language, with our values.

  • You want to involve your Family in giving.

How do you pass down the culture of generosity — familismo, solidaridad — without it being lost by the next generation?

You've worked hard. Now you want your money to work for your values.

  • You want tax-smart giving strategies that work for your income level.

DAFs, QCDs, family foundations — we'll decode which tools make sense for households earning $250k+, without needing to be ultra-wealthy.

  • You send remittances but wonder if there's a smarter way.

You love supporting family back home — and you want to know how to structure giving that goes beyond month-to-month transfers.

  • You want giving to feel like joy — not obligation or guilt.

We'll reframe giving from a cultural burden to a cultural superpower — rooted in your identity, not divorced from it.

THE REAL PROBLEM

We already give — generously. But we give reactively, informally, and without the tools that help All families maximize impact and minimize taxes. That gap is what this webinar closes.

The Pressure of Familismo

You're the one who "made it." The calls for money never stop. Learn to give with intention — not from guilt.

Giving In Two Countries

You have roots in LatinAmerica and a life in the US. Strategic giving can honor both without depleting either.

No One Taught Us This

DAFs, donor-advised funds, family philanthropy plans — these tools exist. Nobody brought them to our community. Until now.

Most financial advice was never
written with us in mind.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

90 minutes that will change how you Give.

Facilitated by Alejandra Brown

Philanthropy Advisor - Fundraiser - Founder, FundRaiz LLC

Alejandra is social entrepreneur and partnership builder with more than 20 years of experience advancing social impact across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Born from personal encounters with crisis — natural disasters, political upheaval, economic instability — her work is grounded in one conviction: that generosity, practiced strategically, is one of the most powerful forces for community resilience. She has contributed to more than 140 initiatives worldwide, advising philanthropists, building cross-sector coalitions, and helping donors connect their heritage and values to giving that lasts.

U.S. Latinos represent the world's fifth-largest economy — a $4.1 trillion GDP that, if measured independently, would outrank most nations on earth UCLA — and yet Latino-serving organizations receive only 1% of philanthropic funding, a figure that has remained largely unchanged over time, while Latinos hold just 1% of foundation CEO positions Latinoslead. That gap — between enormous economic power and near-invisible presence in formal philanthropic structures — is precisely where Alejandra works. Alejandra bridges the deeply rooted Latino values of familismo and reciprocidad with the strategic frameworks that transform generational wealth and cultural generosity into giving that is organized, intentional, and lasting.

Selected by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper in 2011, Alejandra brings a uniquely global lens to every partnership. She holds two master's degrees — in International Affairs (American University, with a focus on Global Governance, Politics & Security) and Fundraising (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) — plus graduate-level credentials in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from ESADE Business School. Her certifications span Corporate Social Responsibility, Global Displacement & Migration (Georgetown University), and Leadership, Organizing & Action (Harvard Kennedy School). She is currently pursuing the CAP® (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy) designation from The American College of Financial Services — one of the most rigorous credentials in the field.
